Like many other Italian social clubs, the Oakville Italian Club was created by a group of  native Italian immigrants who had recently settled in Oakville and made Canada their new home. The founding members and their families were close, and were always willing to give back to the community and lend a hand to their fellow Paesani when they needed help.

The Oakville Italian Club was founded in 1990 as a not for profit organization to celebrate our Italian heritage, create an environment focused on community support and to provide a social centre for the community to share a common pursuit of friendship and exchange of Italian experience and culture. The club strives to cultivate and pass on to future generations the industrious spirit of the Italian people for the ultimate benefit of all members, regardless of their heritage or background, by providing social, educational, cultural and recreational activities and events.
